Many parts of the world deal with their scorching weather problems by profiting from evaporative cooling solutions. Cooling towers are a superb example of how evaporative cooling can present relief to those affected by the burden of heat.
As the hot air passes over the cooling coils, the air cools while the heat transfers to water. Because the water evaporates within the tower, the elimination of energy from the water leaves it at a colder temperature. The water returns back to the top of the tower to repeat the cycle, and the chilly air strikes downward within the tower making a circulate of chilly air to the world that requires cooling. Cut and bend the water trough into a 6-foot-x-6-foot sq.. It will serve as the water assortment and supply reservoir. Fully seal all joints within the trough so it’s water tight.
Place the 12-volt water pump in the bottom of the trough and fill with water to cover the pump.
Construct a 6-foot support construction above the trough out of steel pipe. This construction will hold up and assist the water-laden cooling pads.
Attach tubing from the output of the pump to the middle of every of the 4 sides of the support construction. The pump generates a move of water throughout the floor of the cooling pads.
Suspend a 6-foot-x-4-foot cooling pad from every aspect of the help structure. Direct the water provide line output onto the top edge of the cooling pads at the center of the sides. Connect the pump to the 12-volt battery. When the pump starts, the water will circulate throughout the pad and begin to cool the air passing by the pads.
Add water to the trough as the pump supplies water to the pads until they’re saturated. Proceed so as to add water till the water level within the trough stabilizes. When the pads saturate with water and drip off the underside edge back into the trough, it is best to really feel a flow of cool air escaping beneath the bottom of the pads.
